Hello Everyone,

We have a few clients which are looking to purchase the SPA9000 instead of individual SPA922/VFX lines and find different opinions that this can/can not be connected to WXC over ADSL/NDSL.

Does anyone know if we can use a SPA9000 over ADSL to WXC or do we need to purchase a dedicated (expensive) line to WXC?

Yes it can be used, but we do like to point out that this is a commercial product and businesses run on their phones so we do recomend commercial grade connections but do allow DSL.

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

I agree... but the problem is that a commercial connection, because of Telecom pricing of Private Office (I forget the new service name) is far too complex pricing (varies per exchage/location etc) and costs upwards of $500. Thats a cost of over $100 per line.

Better for that to stay with $41 dollar Telecom POTS lines.

I know I'm preaching to the quire here, but until we have access to cheaper, commerical grade products, I've found customers are happy to live with a little less quality, and a huge cut in costs.

To be honest we are desperately waiting for a better QoS NDSL product.

I believe you are reffering to UNS. Its actually priced ok if you have an ATM interconnect in the same URSA. Majority of ISPs will only have one or two however.

Thanks for the quote, but thats a thread I started :) The lowest I've seen a UNS connection is around $330 + traffic, which is a fair jump from $69. I understand the rational behind it etc, but there needs to be a product inbetween these two.

I know XNET are working with Telecom to get a better spec'ed NDSL product out with higher QoS and CIR which I think will ultimately be the solution.

The other problem with UNS is that the pricing is so complex, you need three windows open at once refering to tables to work out the price for a connection.
