I got a 10/2Mb connection installed this morning, and it's all running swimmingly... except I can't access speedtest.net - it just times out. All other sites work fine, I've rebooted the Mac, restarted the modem & router, tried a different browser, but the result is the same - no speedtest.net. It was working fine last night from this machine on Orcon DSL.

Any ideas? Is TCL blocking the site? Is the site blocking me?

Hmmm... http://www.nzdsl.co.nz/module-Speedtest.phtml gives a blank page too - what's going on??

Works fine for me.

Oddly though it gets quite a slow result if I test against the closest server (Citylink Wgtn).  Testing against the WorldXchange server in Auckland gets a far more agreeable result.

It is not the closest server, due to TCL (bad) peering policies...

... and now it's working...

NExt step -  to pen a complaint regarding the international performance - well under half what I was seeing on Orcon DSL.
