Hey can any one confirm that Vodafone has indeed launched 3g in Hanmer Springs and if so is it 900MHZ and 2100mhz or just 900mhz.

Also any other areas in the South Island that it is working?

really, then the online coverage Map is terrible.

I dont think Telecom has reacted with EVDO Rev A?

lots of UMTS/HSDPA coverage is out there that is not on the map!

Both the coverage maps and the address checker are out of date.
Where I am in Hamilton it says I got 3g coverage but not HSDPA, which I def do have

All 3G sites are HSDPA now!

Why is the 3G maps online always out of date? Will Vodafone ever get around to maintaining this list on a regular basis?

I agree. The map had might as well be taken away as it is probably doing more harm than good!!

How difficult can it be to have a reasonably accurate coverage map.

I expect there is a database with the GPS coords and specification of every cell site in the country, plot them on a map with an average radius of coverage circle plotted around them.

You could almost do it with google maps, but plotting a circle on google isn't really possible yet as far as I know.
