hi,

Has anyone else been having steadily worsening netflix streaming on vodafone cable broadband in kapiti?

Over last month or so I've been finding streaming quality is getting more and more unreliable for watching netflix. every show I watch now has regular periods of getting super pixelated and grainy.

I just have regular 100 MB connection not fibreX but 100/10 should be more than enough. we used to only notice occasional problems watching 2+ streaming shows at once at my house now it seems to be patchy even for just one at a time.

What does www.fast.com report when you notice trouble, compared to www.speedtest.net?

I am in Kapiti and on FibreX and am not having your sort of issues. Could be your node or your router etc. You need to report it

thanks for the links I've had a read through those other posts - certainly inclines me to go UFB when its available in my street in december rather than upgrade to fibre X.

Since I did this post I haven't had any problems though... but I'll try and do some more detailed observation when it comes back.

I've done some speed tests with speedtest and fast.com and get 40-60 Mb speed on wifi which is typical for me.

I've upgraded the firmware in my router and rebooted all my network gear.
