Got a message today:

From 1Aug08 u will no longer b able 2 move on2 Motormouth, Nights&Wkends or Anytime Prepay plans. If u prefer these plans, make sure you are on them before 1Aug

Usually, when you get a Prepay pack (the newest ones come with Supa Prepay), you can switch to any of the other plans (which include Motormouth, Nights & Weekends and Anytime), which I did (because I'm no heavy texter and I don't make many phone calls, and also want good value when I do make the occasional call ($0.49/min + sec by sec rate)

Basically, from the 1st of August, you can only do one of two things:
  • Stay on your current Prepay plan
  • Switch/upgrade to Supa Prepay
You won't be able to switch back if you change to Supa Prepay.

Better change now folks!

Since the made the credit last the same lenght of time on supa prepay, its not that bad, unless you were on motormouth prepay with the 49c to landlines which is desirable. the mobile calling on it is useless unless you want to start texting numbers to 300 before dialing each time.

Is there a way to find what prepay plan I am on without calling vodafone?

Motormouth has been a really good plan, and I'll switch one of my unused numbers onto that just to be safe....

I especially liked it, when it provided...

#1.  49c to Vodafone Mobiles and Landlines!  Supa Prepay can't beat that!
#2.  When awhile back, we could "pay what you pay in New Zealand when you're roaming in Aus"....  That meant 49c/min calls when roaming in Australia, and back to NZ too!!!

In a way...  With all of Vodafone's fancy new products and plans now, there are new ways in which we can possibly "save".  Base rates though, have actually gone up....

I really like Motormouth too - changed straight away after I got my Prepay pack. The cost of $0.89/min flat was worse compared to Motormouth, and all those addons for Supa Prepay were useless for me (I would never even use $5 in a week for Free Weekends...). You don't have second-by-second rate after the 1st minute too - a big bummer.

Also, does anyone know where the International calling rates are for Supa Prepay? (outside of their unknown 15 countries...?) I can't seem to find any info on this.

Might change mine over before then since im not really making the most of the bestmates anymore. Would have cost less last month not to have them I think.

got 500 texts on the telecom phone, and I dont really care about the return text cost ;)
