Hi there,

Since the vodafone forms are useless, I thought I would try here.

Yesterday a Vodafone technician came in and installed the new FibreX modem and installed the Vodafone router, but we have a Asus Ac3200 router for our websites which we installed in. He told me that to get it connected to the internet via the Asus router I needed to set vlan tagging on. The Vodafone router he installed worked fine straight away but when the asus router installed we got internet but very slow, and now it has fully dropped out and not coming back. Doing some research the Asus router has a setting that is like Vlantagging apparently IPTV in the router settings.

How do I configure this? i have set it to manual settings

see attached.

Thanks

In my experience, the connection for the switch to your router normally is the first port or the last port of the switch (on my dlinks and netgears its the last port, 5 or 8). I'm assuming you've not fiddled with the settings on the router except for the bare minimum to get your internet working, in which case plug in the switch, turn it off, wait and then off you go.

That fixed it. I changed it to port one and it works fine now :)).

Thank you so so much for all your help. 100000% better place to post questions than the awful vodafone one.

Thanks again

Vodafone never helps if using 3rd party router. If Vodafone router works fine then the job is done, the rest is not their problem. That I was told by Vodafone :)
