Come on guys, where are you ?

We all like Xnet because you guys keep your customers in the loop but now we feel we have been abandoned. Or handed over to another ISP.....

At least assure us the current issue is not a permanent "fix" and we can expect the old Xnet back soon.....

Come back!!!!

Yes it would be nice to here from someone at xnet

If they dont show face on here soon people will indeed feel abandoned and start to look else where for the internet services

It seems on this forum you get more help then from the customer service agents on the phone.

It would be nice to have a consistant level of customer service and service levels but sadly most isp's tend to be only good at one or the other.

I guess we get what we pay for. Always expect less and never enough

As I was referred here by Xnet, I mention the lack of activity on the issue at hand at geekzone forums to guy on the help desk this morning. He said he'd look at getting someone over here, and update the Xnet website to inform us a bit more.

If I recall correctly Freitasm reported a while a go that there was a rumour they had given up on the forum due to a lot of recent negativity towards them

If true, then fair enough.....  maybe they need their own forums which they can moderate themselves....  but anyway...
In the meantime I just want to know whats going on.

Just to give you some faith, we are still actively monitoring this forum and reviewing everything that is posted.

The fact of the matter is we are actively trying to improve service for everyone (standard & torrent users) after the midnight period.  As with many things they sometimes get worse before they get better, hopefully an improvement will be seen shortly.

xpd, this is wrong in so many levels. First because by creating its own forum and actively moderating it to remove any criticism - as you imply - would make it artificial.

The reality is here at Geekzone we are independent from all ISPs and people can - providing they follow the guidelines  - write their actual impressions, troubles, etc.

When a company runs its own forum there will always be that feeling that something is being "filtered".

I get lots of hate e-mail when I lock a discussion because of someone who didn't follow the rules and started personal attacks - people still contact me asking how much I am being paid!

Other day I locked an Orcon discussion and got a PM asking if I was doing it on request because it would make them look bad - that would be dumb, because the discussion was still visible to anyone.

People are not used to transparency - and non-bias moderation from third party. They still think there's something more. I am sorry to say, but we are independent.

One of the xnet guys who hangs out here is away from home (and the country) until the middle of the month. They do have actual lives, lol. :) I guess he'll be back on the forum when he gets back but what do I know?

Thanks Cameronn :)

Yep things are a bit crap atm.  I'm frustrated with the after 12am performance... I'm frustrated with the peak time speeds - mainly just YouTube cause it's the only place to get any meaningful information.  YouTube has become the new pain of ISPs, lol :P

but I have no doubt they will get better, unlike the world economy. If after a couple of months they dont well I'll reassess... the ISP I mean, not the economy (kinda screwed there... ) <g>

Ohh btw people, there's more to life (and the Interweb) than downloading the latest Hollywood movie, but hey WTF do I know.

I think we should also remember that getting involved in a forum site such as this one is above and beyond what most ISP's deliver with regards to customer service.

Looking back I think people started taking it for granted that if they had a problem they could PM maverick via geekzone and get it sorted. I know I got a few issues sorted that way.

Hopefully they will come back to the fold one day but unless the current problems get sorted they won't get an easy ride, it's just the way it is.

And people were asked not to do it directly. The forums are not an official support path. They are a community thing. WorldxChange did really well by accommodating requests - but they shouldn't have to.
