Last time i had problems with my iphone, i took it into the vodafone store, who sent it to auckland, where they looked at it, replaced it, and sent it back. This was fine, but it took about a week. Is there any way to have vodafone send me or the local vodafone store a replacement iphone, and then i send the faulty one back?

I just want the whole replacement thing done as quickly as possible.

No, you will have to take it in into a VF store and they will have to send it back to get it repaired/replaced. The main reason why they do this is, so that they can check for impact/water damage on the phone (if any)....

Do whatever you want to do man.
