hey guys.. ive just seen the new nokia 3250 on some forums and it looks wicked..
i dont think i can post pics here so heres a link..

I don't think Nokia will be launching new product with the old model no. There was a Nokia 3250 in the past, and Nokia doesn't reuse old model no again for new product.

I am skeptical with this "new" model.

Internet is my backyard...

It is real.. was shown at a music thing in Berlin..

I don't recall there ever been a 3250?? a 3205 maybe....

Nokia has presented the Nokia 3250, its second music phone from Nokia, essentially its the cheaper version of the N91.

It is a N series phone and it is based on the Series 60 3rd Edition, and running under Symbian OS v9 same as N91, also it has Mini-SD card slot, along with 2 Megapixel camera in module similar to N90. As it is a cheaper version, it hasn’t Wi-Fi, hard drive, or even support for 3G networks. The phone looks like 3230 but with innovative twistable keypad, it has music keys from one side and normal keypad on the other side.

Seems ~3x too many!

750 songs of course not in MP3 format, but can be reached with other codecs I guess.

Same old story as with battery life...

Anyway they use AAC+, about 1 to 2 MB per song I think

2 MB x 750 = 1 500 MB (=1.5 giga)

Did I calculate something wrong?

One thing is for sure:
750 songs on 1GB space is not "high quality sound"

So on 1GB you can store ~200 songs in MP3 format (each is around 5MB), this is "high quality" more or less..

To be honest 200 songs is almost 12 CD's. For me it's enough to carry on a device and listen whatever I want even on long trips..

it has FM radio too..

In my opinion this phone can be a bigger hit then the N91, altough it's not WCDMA capable.. but for the mass market it's perfect

Yeah that was cut and past from another site above. I think what they where sayin its a smaller brother of the N series N91 and it makes an impression of a budget version of the N90/N91

i get what you mean.. i suppose you can say that since they are both symbian phones and are both aimed at music lovers.
the 3250 is probably going to be nokia's cheaper alternative so that they dont loose their customers to sonyericsson or samsung.
