Does anyone know the max file size a MMS message can be on Vodafone NZ network?

300k but some handsets can only handle 100k

Was it previously less than 300k or has it always been this size?

Why assume it's use just for a single picture?

Could share legal MP3 files, or multiple pictures.

OR even longer, more detailed video clips

pay $1 get a 10MB data allowance.. solved.

Its a Multimedia Messaging Service not intended for transferring files.
