Hello Everyone,

I have a very unusual request from the owner of one  of client's which is super paranoid about security and also technical knowledge lite. They insist on this setup, I know it's dumb. :)

They have a inhouse SBS 2008 Server (with Exchange 2007), they want to have their MX record point to a external server for their domain, and have 1 mailbox on this server which the owners e-mail address, and mail bagging setup or a alternative SMTP server for any other e-mail which the first server then delivers the e-mail to.

Can Vodafone's SMTP be configured this way for a client. They currently use mail bagging and a catchall system with the ihug servers, but I want to get away from using POP3 mailbagging as it causes mail loops etc.

Is this for security only? If so why not use an external SMTP service, such as Postini or Symantec? Security is not cheap...
