Morning all,

I have a client that had a Linksys SPA9000 PABX system. We are trying to set it up for two DVX lines.
We have the asterisk settings for the lines but seem to be unable to get the device to register.

I have attached a image of the current settings. If there is anyone who has a setup like this and could point me in the right direction would be great.

If you are a dealer we produce a basic config for you for the SPA9000 and a DVX trunk, you need to phone into the provisioning line. Asterisk details are just the account dwetails and not the setup of the device. The config for these are a little bit complicated so you need to have a basic start point which is what we supply.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have talked to the team and they have given me the username and password in the correct format.

I am still unable to get it to register. I have attached a updated screenshot and if you have a sec it would get great if you could take a look.

It's a little hard to tell from the image but you should have your phone number in the User ID: field on a linksys device. I think you just have it in the display field.

Just be aware that the quality of these units is only very average. Make sure it at least has the latest firmware.

You might also want to look at the dialplan configuration as well if people don't want to have to dial 9 before each outgoing call.

If you import the configuration file that we have generated for the device should just register, this will also provide you with a basic dial-plan and the mapping for the DDI's to some extensions.

As Steve points out, ensure you are also running the latest version of firmware, there have been numerous fixes applied in recent releases.

I have managed to get it to register and receive incomming calls fine.
I think my dial plan is broken for outgoing though.

You mentioned a config file. Is this the provisioning url?
Or was i ment to have gotten one sent by email?

My understanding is WxC will autoprovision these devices just like they do all Linksys products - you enter the provisioning URL into the provisioning field and it will download a working config for you.

Sorry but I have to ask are you an authorised dealer for WxC ?, Our dealers know that we send them a device config which they can load locally and the fine tune for the customers requirements

Yes i am a dealer but have not dealt with a DVX before.
We normally deploy SPA2102's.
If you like you can look up my account, it will be under Laurence Bullivant.

Hi Laurence,

In your provisioning email a configuration file should have been attached. You can find all of the details in the config file or you will fine it much easier if you upload the file yourself. Grab something like 3cdaemon to start up a tftp server, put the file in the tftp root folder and then go into your provisioning section of the spa9000 and put under the profile rule:

tftp://IPADDRESSOFSERVER/NAMEOFFILE.cfg

you should see the device pickup the config file, once this is done remove the profile rule and make any adjustments you see necessary.

Ahhhh, thats were i got lost. I have no attached config file just the username, proxy and password.
Is there any chance i can get it sent through again?

My email is laurence@xxxxxxxxxxxx and it was the only DVX on my account. (if i have to ring support to get that then that is fine.)

I think you didn't pass on this was for a SPA9000 and asked for an Asterisk profile so you only have Asterisk Details and not the SPA9000 config

That is quite possable. They took my MAC address and the email i got back uses the same names for fields as the SPA9000 but i wouldn't know if that is how it should look.

Is there a email address i should send a request to? or just dealer@wxc.co.nz?

I will chase up with my my provisioning team tomorrow, but will probably happen is that this is DVX account and should be redone using a SPA9000 profile which will generate a basic profile config which will get sent to you, you can then use the above method posted by Josh to add the config into the device.

Must be missing something going through your 2 accounts, I do not see a DVX service connection or a Asterisk profile, Please PM the number you are using so I can try and track it down
