My new 3G phone service has been prehistoric,
loosing calls and the voice of one party with most phone calls over a couple of minutes.
How many others are finding problems with Vodafone?

johnr: The tweaking will take a while look how long it took to get the 027 network right
johnr: telesence I will hold my tounge here abit but you need to undestrand that the WCDMA network is new and there are going to be issues in a perfect world there would not be but you saying vodafone is trying to hide this is a load of rubbish and I suggest you get your facts straight before coming here and slagging off any company. Lets see yourself run a couple 100 million dollar project and there be no issues. Nokia are ones payed to deploy the network and they are working on this 24/7 ironing out issues. You may say why did they not sort this before the network was launched. Cause many bugs are not found until users get on and start using the network.
I suggest you read the history of other mobile 3G networks being launched and stop pointing the finger. A good exapmle is 3.
Maybe if you stopped pointing the finger and making that they have made these faults on purpose they would be able to get on with the job. They like to about problem areas trust me and all faults that are logged correct are looked into but not the first 5 minutes.
And you say all video calls disconect I have held a video call from Albany all the way to Auckland airport the day after the network went live with Andrew another GZ user and the call dropped once.

sbiddle: My only real coverage gripe is Queensgate mall in Lower Hutt, Vodafone swapped out the existing 900 and 1800 panels and reorientated them when they put the 3G gear in and coverage inbuilding is now absolutely crap down the Woolwoths end of the mall for both 3G and GSM. Even the Vodafone store staff are embarassed but after 4 months nothing has been done about it!True... I went to Queensgate/Westfield Mall in Lower Hutt on Boxing Day (2005) for the first time after their renovation (yes, haven't been there in two years I think) and couldn't check my e-mails with the Jasjar. Coverage in that area was really bad - strange since it is the main commercial area in that region.
