Can anyone advise their current experience with Vodafone Naked Broadband.

We are currently with Telecom Total Home with adventure broadband, & Sky Basic, currently $155.19 per month.

Figured we could save a few dollars with the following setup:

Naked 30GB at $65
2Talk 10 plan $11.50
Sky with Vodafone $52.69 (including free upgrade to Sky HDI)

Total: $129.19

So a saving of $26 per month ($312 per year), plus the benefit of Sky HDI included, and 10GB extra data allowance.

Need advice from current Vodafone Naked users regarding issues, and also does anyone know if it is possible to port our current landline number to 2talks VOIP service, & should we do this prior to requesting Naked Broadband, whats the best process to follow?

If you port your number, then your PSTN and ADSL will get closed. The ADSL may keep working for a while, it did for a friend, but when the ISP tries to put a request thru, its closed as far as chorus are concerned so there is a whole new install process done, which if there is a waiting list for ports on the exchange means you lose out and go to the back of the queue.

People have in the past had telecom move their number to be a customerlink number, and get a new number on their analog landline, then ported the customerlink number to 2talk etc.

I got a new customerlink number and ported it to 2talk without incident awhile back now, and then sold it along with some other stuff to someone else.

I have just taken (almost) this exact step:

Vodafone Naked DSL $65 (-$15 for sky)
VFX (still $11:50 but in my background reading they had a better reputation and are easier to setup & deal with than 2talk plus they have loads of setup options)
SPA2102 $114

My advice - VoIP then DSL

I am porting my number (this is TBC if they can do it or not)
I have moved house though and not actually moved in or set up the DSL yet.

I'll know by the weekend though.
