I sent a email from xtra to a vodafone email address, as a TEST.

Xtra from ADSL

Email sent at 7.42 East monday night...

Viewing the vodafone account via the web management screen, I been watching for 15 min and it still has not arrived.

Go figure...

This is so bad...any ideas. And this is not the forst time I have seen this delay.

Update its now 20 min...

It happens. Sometimes the Xtra server is overloaded with e-mails causing extra activity for the spam and antivirus filter...

Your 100% correct.
I sent an email with no body

So it ended up in the spam account....

Goodness! 3.5 points just for being from that domain, just the domain that (probably) 50% of New Zealand Internet Users have an account with?

Ooops. This whole thing is out of control. My blog post was live for only 10 minutes, but this thread is alive.

I've got the word from Telecom that they are not amused: apparently a couple of people already called their help desk to ask about Vodafone blocking email from Xtra.

Hope you all had fun..

The point is that vodafone stuck my email in a spam account, without telling the sender that it was treated as spam.

I not sure what the best policy is, but it would have saved me some grief.

I now have my email address to vodafone on the approved list.

Maybe some one should post Xtra spam rules.
