Hi,

I have one user who uses a Telstra email address on her Iphone4.  This used to be configured to outlook on her PC - setup to delete the emails from the server automatically as they downloaded to outlook.

Her Iphone4 now doesnt do this so her email account gets to its size limit within a few weeks and we have to manually login to delete emails.

Since I know nothing about Iphones (and have no desire to either!)  Im asking a few questions here.

Ive put the topic here because its a telstra email account...

Can the IPhone be setup to delete emails as it downloads them?

Otherwise are there any other solutions to this issue.

Thanks!

I had the same issue but set up on IMAP. Wasn't prepared to pay for more storage space so started a Gmail account and had all of my Clearnet e-mail forwarded to the Gmail address.

Exactly what I do. Email service providers should offer MUCH bigger space, esp when free providers give so much.

It's best not to use ISP email addresses, migrate everything to gmail and use imap.

Or better use the gmail sync feature and get proper push email.
