Hi All,

Has anybody managed to get open VFX VOIP phone service working on android 2.1?

My phone is a garmin asus A10. I have tried SipDroid unsuccessfully. After entering registration details, I get a error message that says Registration failed (401 Unauthorized).

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Regards
Scott

Do you have you SIP userid and AuthID in the correct fields? Assuming of course that the software supports AuthID - some don't.

Not supporting AuthID might be the issue.

I have tried SipDroid and 3CX.

3CX says it has Auth ID support, so I am wondering if it is a issue with my WXC sip profile?

For the user I have used the given phone number, for the ID I have used the big long username.

The error message is Not Registered.

Thanks

Any soft-phone must support separate user and authid fields , the user id will be your phone number with out the 0, the authid is the really long one :), as is the password

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

Have got the login details in the correct place, still not registered message.

I know this number does work as it works on my mac fine.

Could it be the server settings?

I have Use External Server ticked.
Internal server is blank.
External Server is set to: pan.wxnz.net
Port?: 5060
Stun server is: stun3.3cx.com (as default)

In the advance settings I have tried setting the proxy as pan.wxnz.net.

Thanks

I installed this on a colleagues phone running android 2.3 and the 3CX client from the google marketplace, I was able to register and place calls out.

Looking at the last few registers you sent us yesterday, the authID you are using is incorrect, you are sending through a lower case l instead of an upper case I between a and the s, fix that up and I think you should be ok :)

Cheers

Josh

Any chance you could post the settings (without user id obviously) ?

Hi Josh,

Awesome! Thanks for that. I had read the I as L. A lowercase l looks the same as uppercase I.

Works in both SipDroid and 3cx. Now just need to get the sound working.

Thanks
