Quinny: For those like me still waiting

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/technology/news/article.cfm?c_id=5&objectid=10584354 which bascally says get $600 free credit on XT if you buy the phone outright and sign to an expensive plan.

This is being discussed here (we actually posted this the moment it came out). The "expensive" plan actually includes free 240 MB a month as well, for 24 months.

Hi everyone

Just wondering if any of you can shed some light on this issue. I ordered a 16GB Iphone 3gs yesterday from the apple store and when i check the status of my order it shows up as:

IPHONE 3G S BLACK 16GB-AUS

...Does the AUS mean Australia?? or something else?

So my order has been processed and my account changed over from prepay to an iPhone plan, but still no courier details. And the vodafone website order status page doesn't list any status details for my order now.

I ordered last Friday morning. Sigh, guess I should ring up again...

Same, chased this morning and now on the way. Delays have been inexcusable really. I really feel it was only threating to cancel the order and go to the telecom offer that has even got me this far. Still of 2 minds if I did the right thing staying it has been that bad.

I have my phone and I am in love. What an upgrade from my only Sony Ericsson P910i. All I ever wanted that phone to be.

The apps store is awesome, phone speed amazing and compared to the old wap/browsing this is amazing. I waited for the 32gig model to replace the phone and an early ipod in one. Very very impressed with so much about the phone. Worth all the hassles and the wait.

Man I feel lucky organising my phone the day before it came out and picking it up the next morning.

After a weeks use if the phone I have found that if you use the iPhone as a phone and not a laptop, gaming console, etc you can get a pretty good battery life.

When you start using it as a laptop etc you start to chew in the battery.

I am very happy with the device and I am in love with the interface, and the app store.

I have brought two docks one for the bedside table and one for the office desk. I think this will help alot with battery life as the phone will always been topped up and ready to go.

What are your thoughts???

Did anyone order through Apple???

I ordered my 16GB 3GS on July 14 and the status is still showing as "Not Yet Shipped" It also took the money off my credit card but has since been removed...Im starting to wonder whats going on here.
