I have noticed another change which I consider a retrograde step.
Previously when you changed channels, the current program was listed, along with the next program to be shown. Now it doesn't show the current program, nor the next program, but only lists the program to be shown two hours away. Perhaps it isn't a major inconvenience but to me it appears to be backward step.

Hey Fog,just tried changing up and down (using channel up and down) and it works for me exactly as usual, and fast too!

I think you have misread my post. If I am watching, say channel 70, and I want to change channels to say 72. I key in 072. Previously it showed what was being broadcast plus the next program. Now it doesn't show what is being broadcast, nor the next program, but shows the program to be broadcast two hours ahead. I hope I have explained what I meant. Perhaps it is a fault in my T/Box which I seriously doubt.

IIRC I've found happens if I have previously viewed "two hours" ahead on the current channel prior to switching. (i.e. it seems to remember the timeframe that you were viewing when you switch channels)

TCL came to the rescue with this problem. It was caused by 'finger trouble' and nothing to do with the T/Box.
In case anyone else is as stupid, the solution may assist.
It appears we have moved forward in the banner using the right button. To fix:
"Press the i button and then press the left button. Keep pressing it until your are at the correct time."
It is known issue. The banner is not resetting to current time when you change the channel (like it should). This is fixed in the next code which they still have under test.

Have just Emailed Tim - I am just getting so frustrated. Other than losing the EPG on a regular basis we haven't had quite so many problems until yesterday. We had been out all day and 3 programmes were set on series link (none at the same time). When we got home we were greeted with a totally black screen and could not do anything at all with the remote. The red recording light was showing on the unit as it was recording the third show we had series linked. I was reluctant to reboot as it was recording however we had no other option. After it had rebooted I went in to the planner. The first programme had "part recorded", the second programme had "failed" and third programme said it had recorded however when I looked at it today the whole programme was not there (the programme was meant to be 1 hour 50 mins long but only about 32 minutes had recorded). I really wish next to failed or part recorded programmes it would tell you WHY. Even more I wish it just wouldn't happen!

More problems last night & tonight here also. Three lockups last night within a ~2 hours period and now another tonight after less than an hour of viewing TV. Included a sudden black screen and picture freezing, all requiring re-booting of the T-Box (T-Box completely unresponsive to remote). In all cases were simply viewing TV at the time. No recording in background & not switching between channels. A continued major frustration for certain members of the household

3 Programs 'failed' to record yesterday. A couple succeeded. The system was running fine when I looked at it last night and hadn't locked up. Not sure why it failed - there is no explanation.

How annoying. I am still waiting to hear from Telstra about my failed recordings. Yesterday we had no EPG and today the picture was all grainy and jumping up and down. The whole thing seems to be worse than ever.

I'm sure I've had that one. If you're really lucky, you'll also get failures with the reason "Failed for an unknown reason". I've had that a few times.

Because I had the "unknown reason" reason two weeks in a row for the same programme, I deleted the reminder and recreated it. The recording succeeded the next time. May have been a coincidence, but recreating the reminder just may increase your chances of it working next time.

Two more recordings failed today - reason given "Recording failed for an unknown reason". One recording was the News which failed last night, so I'll delete the series, recreate it and see if it comes right.
