Reality is that this makes it look like Vodafone did not put enough effort.

It this makes it look like Vodafone did not get someone to sponsor the project and say "This has to be done"

It this makes it look like Vodafone did not had any capacity plan in place.

It this makes it look like Vodafone never gave a single damn.

This is something that's been going for one year since the first post. A letter sent to all customers promised this would be fixed October 2015. Lots of talk on newspapers saying how they want to offer a gigabit cable service.

And not a single damn was given.

^^^ and what kinda bugs me is those people working on the 1gbps cable could have possibly been employed to fix the current issues.

fix what you currently have before you consider upgrading things

I have a suspicion Vodafone are busy on the DOCSIS 3.1 upgrade and have no intention of addressing Island Bay's congestion issues unless it's coincidental to those plans. They have a captive audience as far as high speed connections here and they know it.

There is no way their project manager has honestly believed that WKH was on the verge of a fix for six consecutive months. Either he's incompetent beyond belief or we're being misled. Given that that's exactly what Vodafone's sales team are currently doing, I'm starting to lean toward the latter.

@ramboky I can promise you 150% that Island Bay Node congestion issue will be fixed before DOCSIS 3.1 goes live

Edit: and I don't use the word ' promise ' very often

Can you promise me 150% that it's not prep work for DOCSIS 3.1 that will resolve the congestion issues? Because if not, my statement stands.

And if your source is the same source who continually tells you WKH will be addressed in the next two weeks, why should I put any more faith in that statement than any other?

You can't even tell me with any degree of confidence that Island Bay congestion issues will be fixed this month.

Vodafone have the ability to fix the congestion issue.  I had ongoing congestion issues like everyone else in this thread.

I lodged a TDR and my peak speed issue was resolved within a week.

Regardless it proves the congestion issues can be fixed however Vodafone have obviously deprioriitised fixing the problem due to the impending DOCSIS 3.1.

You've also told me multiple times that it would be done in the next day or the next week, but each and every time nothing was done. Again, what's different this time?

Projects on live networks / systems don't always go to plan, time lines change hurdles are hit and work stops until issues are resolved, testing and more testing and more testing,

It's like this with any project and I have worked on a few (never fixed line) always mobile
