ramboky: Every Vodafone customer I have spoken to is experiencing the problem to some degree (in Wellington)

You must be only speaking to end users on congested HFC nodes, xDSL and Fibre are not impacted at all with the peak time congestion issue

Thanks for only responding to the one part of my post you could pick fault with.
Of course I was referring to Vodafone cable customers. The whole thread is about Vodafone cable.
As there is no open communication from VF about where the issues are happening, how would I know whether they're on congested nodes? All I can tell you is all the people I've spoken to are experiencing issues during peak hours. Which isn't exactly surprising given how many of Wellington's suburbs have been mentioned in this thread. Please don't question my integrity.

Do you have any other snide comments or are we done here?

And how was picking holes in my post helpful in any way? Intentional or not, your comment came across as snide and added nothing to the discussion.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that, it's not my intention to start a pissing match with you. Your communication here is valued by others, even if it's limited to "log a ticket" and "someone is working on it" on this particular subject.

ramboky: And can you please explain why Vodafone can't talk openly about the issues they're having? It's not like it's a secret that the network is flaky as hell at the moment.

Just remember you are not alone in this issue. The conclusion is either hold tight and wait for an unknown length of time, or make the jump to another provider. Those really are the only two options, 15 pages of thread has led to that conclusion. Johnr can't talk openly about some things, I don't believe he has a choice in the matter. The Vodafone reps who front up in these forums are a valuable resource, please don't drive them away.

A user by the name of MattBush lost his cool about this issue. He's not with us anymore.

I realise johnr can't say or do much on the issue, but his replies come across as pretty dismissive at times. If John takes issue with my comments I would hope he speak to me directly as I've done with him. Though PM would probably have been a better approach so for that I apologise to John.

Ok, I'll take your word on that. And I'm sure you understand my frustration.

Well, except for Vodafone Cable. There's definitely an improvement, but it's not there yet. Progress is good though and it's nice to see it's consistent enough to show in the stats.

I'm wondering if it's a difficult call to invest in upgrades to the cable network with fibre rolling into most of those areas in the next 4 to 5 years.

He posted on the first page of this thread actually. But I don't believe he was banned for going on about his cable speeds.
