Hi Gary,

Great to know that the sort option will still be implemented properly. And you're right - my wife deletes things mercilessly. I don't think we'd ever catch up on a backlog of 60 programs.

If you're still collecting general suggestions for UI enhancements one of the neatest features I've used (from and old Series I Tivo) was the way it would skip back a bit after you finished fast forwarding.

So when you're blasting through the adverts, and you see the program start again and hit play it jumps back a few seconds to take your reaction time into account, and you don't miss the start of the program. The amount it skipped back was dependent on the fast forward speed being used.

It seems a very trivial feature, but once you've used a device that does this you can't understand why every remote doesn't work the same way. One for the roadmap perhaps...

Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the feedback. That's one that's been suggested by others and it's definitely logged for consideration.

Cheers, Gary

I'm pretty happy with the new update. I will agree though that:
1. Filters should be persistent. I noticed after sorting by newest, then viewing and stopping that the filter had returned to the default (though as I was amongst the programs I wanted to watch and delete, I was happy)
2. Newest should default to the last program recorded. Maybe display future recordings, but on a seperate page, but default to the last completed recording, or have a sep menu for future recordings.

Keep up the good work

Robert

I have another question. I have noticed that when I get a break in the transmission, when the picture and speech is momentarily lost, how is it possible to replay the program and it is ok,?  I am not worried about it but am curious. Can anyone explain this please.?

Thanks for the feedback Robert and glad it's fixed some of the issues for you.

I'll forward your comments to the broadcast team so they're logged.

Cheers, Gary

Fog: Curious as to why the BBC was not affected.?? Anyone got an answer please.?

Hi Fog,

Some channels are sourced locally by TelstraClear and weren't affected.

Cheers, Gary

So i sometimes get pixekation on a recording, which degrades So bad, that i stop and restart viewing of recording and it goes away. That seems like a tbox issue, not a broadcast issue.

Hi Dawg, Yes, in that case it's a performance issue and will be fixed in an up-coming update.

I turned my tbox off, just because I was going to bed. Not at the wall or anything. And now it doesn't have the time or details of anything or anything. Its completely blank, I can't record or anything!

Anyone know what to do?

Best to try power cycling your TBox I'd say - failing that try power cycling both modem and Tbox...

Do a complete power cycle - (1) turn off the T-Box at the wall (or unplug the power plug); (2) turn off the modem (the vertical box with lights on the front); (3) Wait 30 seconds; (4) Turn on the modem and wait till the top 4 lights are green; (5) turn on/reconnect the power to the T-Box.

After about 5 minutes the TV screen should show that the T-Box is updated.

If nothing happens, try it once more for luck - then call the TelstraClear support number.

I came home and it was fixed automatically after being like that for 2 or 3 days. But as I just went to watch something I recorded last week I rewound it to the very start and it froze and I lost the picture and only had the status bar. So I just did the power cycle now, hopefully that fixes it!

Does the Telstra service have a minimum cable spec? I'm re-wiring a renovation and none of the Chch electrical wholesalers I rang had tri or quad shield coax (or knew what it was).

What do people do in Telstra service areas when wiring their home (renovation or new)? Its not like a tech will come and wire your house.

angry with teltra & their idea of the great t-box

we are on our second t box itself (in a month, first one apparently was "faulty", and have had 6 different technicians out to "fix" the problem that they havent fixed at all.

just wondering if anyone else has these problems
or has a solution to them

since day 1, we have been having continuous "updating... Please wait" appear on the screen every time we change the channel (when it lets us change it)

when and IF we are able to change the channel, it freezes.

as soon as waking in the morning & flicking the t-box on, it freezes for a good half hour, in which i have to pull the cords out, to reboot the t-box, generally this fixes the issue, but the last three days it has not.

when we try to watch a recorded movie, it freezes 3/4s way through and jams up, then we miss the end of the movie because it does not reload.

has anyone else had these problems , if so did you find a way to fix them?
