Yesterday's results were a fluke.
I don't know what's up with the MyRepublic server and its high jitter/ping spikes.
EDIT: Speeds are variable, but not as bad as Friday.
EDIT 2: Peak hour has arrived.
Kapiti - W93.
Island Bay, node WKH, cable 100/10 at 9pm:
Slightly better than usual, but I'm not getting excited.
Sideface
Ipv89: Of topic a little but with cable are you aloud to use your own modem. The one provided doesn't have a bridge mode
Which modem do you have? We have a DPC3008 here, which wouldn't require any sort of bridged mode in the first place.
pretty sure he has the technicolour one

Fairly sure you can't (or you didn't used to be able to) due to network "noise"/interference issues, but I'm not sure if this is still the case.
Definitely can't use your own. Vodafone have to set it up for your connection and won't use one they haven't given you.
I now have two internet feeds, 130Mb/s Vodafone HFC, and BigPipe VDSL2.
Vodafone now:
New BigPipe now:
I will be cancelling Vodafone tomorrow. I can live with 65Mb/s. I'm free.
Finally slither.io after 4pm is possible again!
I suspect some DLM stuff might happen yet, so things could get even better perhaps.
did you have a master splitter installed?
Jase2985:

No, just a dedicated naked VDSL jack, RJ-45. Hasn't disrupted the existing HFC connected phone, this will give us 30 days to tell all the relatives to switch to cell phones. I have no intention of ever installing a land line again. Next owners can get it all moved back to Chorus network if they desire. Will be fibre by then anyway.
You can always port the old landline number to 2talk, turn on voicemail to email and keep it there for a while on the cheapest plan. If they don't leave a message you can still turn on call recording where you get an email of the recording of the call of them grumbling at the outgoing message with the number and just call them back too.
