I bet @DJShadow is sub 10 by now too. My soon to be disconnected connection is currently at 3.7Mb/s. Which is good, I'd be spewing if they actually fixed it before it's disconnected. Probably will, just for the final insult. Wouldn't go back ever even if they did. Ever. Not another penny from me. Put me on hold for 20 minutes just to cancel, I thought it was a laugh.

I'm getting <100 KiB/s to GitHub tonight. :( The maximum speed I saw was 183 KiB/s.

I'm of the same opinion. Vodafone have treated and continue to treat their cable customers with total disregard. Maybe it'll be fixed tomorrow, but so what? Next time something goes wrong we have no reason to expect any better communication or a quicker resolution than this fiasco. Why sign a fixed term contract with a company that can't promise less than a 14 month turnaround to fix crippling network issues?

I'd rather give my money to a company that at least pretends to give a crap.

Here are my hourly TrueNet stats for the last week:

Note that these are my own stats - cable volunteers in other parts of Wellington are getting much better results.

If you add up all five peak hour UFC high speed cable speed tests on this page, you still get less than my single lowly VDSL connection.

Not to rub it in, just pointing out the absurdity.

I just discovered my wiring is terrible too, so hopefully I'll see good speed increase as soon as it's cleaned up.

My connection speeds appear to have been somewhat ok as of late and I am wondering if this is down to the sheer amount of noise I have made.

BUT, the latency back to the gateway has been all over the show making it rather difficult to make use of this speed :(

Have you restarted the cable modem? Mine was fluctuating wildly (from 30 to 1200ms) the other night and a restart settled it down.
