I have no doubt there are customers out there who may not have recieved the experience we planned.
As I am sure you can appreciate when migrating well over 1000+ remote customers in a short time frame there will be situations that do not go as expected.
As I mentioned if you would like to PM me the details of any customers who have concerns I am confidemt they can be addressed.
If a client has paid over $1k for their rural inzone / turoapaki CPE equipment, do they really have to change to the ipstar system? I have two clients that are in remote areas and simply dont want to have to sign another contract, or pay for more equipment to be installed.
Without knowing the specifics I am unable to comment on the cases you mention.
As I have previously mentioned if you can PM the specific customer details I can investigate further for your particular customers.
In general any customers moving from GE to IPSTAR are moved at no cost to the customer for standard installs (including dish, mount, modem, cables site visit etc.)
Any customers with no line of site to IPSTAR will remain on GE.
My friend and I have already looked at their coverage, but it doesn't come anywhere near his place. He knows people who are connected via Primo Wireless, but they are quite some distance away, and separated by several ranges of hills.
PM me some info grant_k, we are soon to be likely working with Huiakama/Strathmore school, is he more out that way? send me the info anyway, the coverage map is just a guide and likely the top of one of his hills will have coverage to an existing site as we now have over 35 in Taranaki - and if it does we can build a small solar site to get it down to his house, it depends on how bad he wants it!
