I tried to call them this morning around 10 and no one would answer, would the call centre be flooding with calls or something? I was holding on for about 5-10 mins and I got impatient and hung up

Check new messages

Should be on NO if you don't want the email client checking for new message which will take credit

I've clicked no, although I haven't got any e-mail setup for my phone.

In check new messages it would not say " Yes " but a time frame like 30 min 60 min and so on

If this option is turned on this will use credit as the handset is starting a packet data session

it was in chek new messages, but the weird thing is, is that I didn't start getting billed for the updates since I signedup for bestmate. when I was on prepaid all I didn't pay for that or whatever I was paying for.  The option is still now on no.
