Don't mean to be negative, but I'll be surprised if you see much difference, particularly on the international side. Pretty much this I'm afraid:

In theory on sign up you should be put onto the Red network unless there is a cabinet between you and the exchange

In theory isn't good enough any more guys...

Red Network should be syncing fine up to 16 Meg on LLU that close to the central exchange.

If you have a cabinet (NOT RED network) in your street ALWAYS use that instead AND check that Vodafone haven't decided to install YOU (the customer) conveniently onto the RED / LLU exchange when your street connection is several k's away. It is cheaper for ISPs eg Vodafone) to use their own RED/LLU equipment but YOUR performance WILL suffer if you are more than say 3-4 km's aways. Speed is always a function of distance from either the RED/LLUnbundled or local street cabinet exchanges. ie Don't use the RED network unless you're really close to the Unbundled central exchange itself.

The dust has settled.
Had the chorus tech out in the weekend, they connected me to the wrong line lol
Sorted now. I am very happy with my new Vodafone connection!
Syncing at 14Mbps, actually real world sync: 11.8Mbps
My throughput/backhaul/contention is a noticeably better than Orcon Genius.

My connection is UBS.
I am super scared to try switching over to the Redzone (ULL) - in case my performance gets worse!
Because it's taken so long to get a decent connection.

What does changing to the redzone technically do?
Would it be a visit to the exchange? Would they change my port for that?
Whatever I'm connecting to now is the best so far.
Could my line speed get worse? is that be a possibility?

But of course Redzone is $10 a month cheaper - $120 a year!
What should I do guys?

If I changed to the Redzone and it happened to get worse, could I change back (easily and without cost?)

What gains or advantage do people usually get?
Also, any horror stories about the redzone? :3

This may have been a blessing; in connecting you up wrong, your cable pair may have been swapped with a better one.

Just FYI you'll be on a UBA connection (likely EUBA specifically). UBS is a legacy product.
