Vodafone is passing on to the end user what is getting passed from Twitter

Vodafone are only the postie to deliver the SMS we don't decide on the content

I don't have any examples but have seen other people having an opposite issue where when they send a SMS to twitter it changes from a @ symbol to an ! Or ¡

Any comments made are my personal views and does not represent those of my employer

But surely some traces could be put in place to find out if this is a handset problem or a source problem (or even an unintented translation going inside Vodafone's systems) to them advise customers on how to get this fixed (i.e. fix handset settings, contact Twitter, etc)?

This has already been done by myself with examples from Geekzone users,

We are passing onto the end user what twitter is passing to 3rd party SMS vendor to Vodafone

Just had a thought! I will contact 3rd party SMS vendor and point this out, I can't see what is getting passed to the SMS vendor from twitter

Am seeing the same exclamation mark issue on Android, iOS, Symbian and MeeGo handsets, and also on the Nokia Suite Windows software.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Has anyone heard of this happening on the other telco that these sms are sent to?

I know they are sent there as well.

I've just checked back in my txt feed on my Galaxy S. The sms notices were formatted fine on 1 Aug, but the first notice I got at 12.44pm on 2 Aug was screwed, and has been since then.
