johnr:
richms: I havent gotten any other texts back, but so many times recently I have texted bal to 777 and not gotten a reply back at all, and I have called 777 and pressed 1 then 1 then 1 again and that just gives me the menus again that I have often had absolutly _no_ idea how much I have left on that sim card.

Why don't you use MYA (manage your account) online and its free

Because it's "down" half the time and some people don't spend their entire life behind a computer screen.

It's useless ay? I don't even bother with it now unless I have to look up a particular charge or number I called.

I cannot stand the constant [removed] played before Im allowed to top-up my phone on prepay. I dont txt the number because txting is annoying also.

Does anyone know how to skip the advertising at the beginning of the 'vodafone account' information voice menu thing?

tonyhughes: What did Vodafone say when you contacted them and asked them to stop?

I've had about 5 calls about the issue so far.

First problem seems to be their ability to track down the spam they're sending out.  They keep asking me exactly what was sent.

I've been learning the limitations of my mobile phone, I can't read sms while I'm on a call.  That's really annoying.  (At least, if I can, I don't know how).

They have now put a fix in the system so I don't get the spam.  I don't know if that means everyone doesn't get the spam or just me.

The joke though, is that I now get an sms telling me when my last call was without the spam.  I suspect the point was missed.

I concur with the person here who said that they don't always even get their balance information.

I also agree with the person who eluded that having to use a web connection is silly.  How ever, I would like to know why such web site isn't on a list of free sites I can access from my mobile - or is it?

I was talking to technical people who don't make policy.  So I've been asked to express my views to the customer service department as well.

All in all it really was only a half arse response on their part.

Cheers Don

Especially when you have Dial Up...

I mean yeah you can check the site with Dial Up but with mine... takes a minute to load google. No lies.
