It's no wonder telecommunications is so expensive if you're changing provider this often.



You have to be kidding.

Changing provider every year is perfectly normal, without people changing providers ISP's wouldn't feel the effect of competition and improve prices and plans.

Telstraclear's a good ISP if you never have to call them but their support is fairly well known for being bad unless you can get a hold of a rep on Geekzone, GPforums, Twitter etc and they are slow to refresh their plans and pricing.

Here's the last little update to this. I just received a missed call from someone called Matthew at Telstraclear, wanting to discuss my issue over the weekend, he left the generic 0508 888 800 number to call back. I just called and spent 15 minutes with two service reps telling me there aren't any Matthews I could speak with.
