timmmay: Sbiddle, can you give me the one sentence version of how difficult it is to set up an Asterix server and get it all working, for someone with good technical knowledge but no VoIP knowledge? Can it be hosted by someone who knows what they're doing?

To set up an Asterisk box and have it working - 15 mins.

To understand what you're doing? Probably a month of playing with it full every day. To truely understand Asterisk and it's qwirks? Probably a good year or two or a lot of deployments.

To me it's all second nature since I've been using Asterisk since 2004 and deployed a huge number of systems with a number of large multi site installs. I'm probably not the best person so ask about how difficult it is since I know it so well

Is there such a thing as a hosted Asterix solution?
