Behodar: I remember a tradein deal from 2000/2001ish where you could trade in any phone and get $50 off a new prepaid phone. I traded in an old analogue phone with the physical dial!

Awesome

Those kinds of phones have some retro value now. You might regret doing that if it was in good condition.

It would be good to compare what vodafone offers to the going second hand rate on TM, taking into account trademe fees of course.

Hmmm...I have two or three good condition old phones that could be worth a tenner.

Very interesting...

I made a friend try to trade in a toy phone from the $2 shop beside the glenfield store when it was down around where DSE (sorry, DS) is now.

They initially said no, but when I pointed out they had the same toy phone in the little window display out the front along with a decrepid old landline phone, they relented and allowed the trade.

VodafoneDylan: Vodafone Trade-In is a trial that we're running with selected stores and it might expand to more in future. The stores are:

Vodafone Downtown Auckland
Vodafone Westfield Mall , Glenfield
Vodafone Supa Centa, Manukau
Vodafone Westfield Mall Westcity
Vodafone 160 Broadway New Market

Mobile phones (sorry - not tablets etc) can be traded in for a voucher. There's a maximum of three phones and up to a combined value of $1,500. The voucher can be redeemed for a new phone in store and lasts for a year.

Phones don't have to be in working condition, but the better quality and condition of course affects the voucher value.

Cheers

Dylan

Any of these shops open this Saturday? (easter weekend)
