First, your DSL speed is pretty slow. Unless you are connect to a conklin, to a very long copper or to the wrong connection type you should really be getting something three times faster.

Posting your modem DSL stats will help people determine if you have a home wiring problem or if it's a connection problem. who knows, you might even find that you can get faster broadband as it is by just updating the modem firmware or installing a filter. But that's if you're interested.

RBI coverage tool.

eme: Hi Maurice, I think I have my answer to the speed difference question. More data will not change that.
But I am interested in your comment about RBI coverage not being evident in my Mobile phone reception. So how do I go about actually checking my RBI coverage. Vodafone promised RBI would arrive in my area last April. Do I need to get a techie to come and check RBI capability at my location?

PM / email me your address details if you like. I'm an RBI installer for www.ultimatebroadband.co.nz so can give you an idea of options.

Cheers
Fraser

Also, speedtests are not really great tools to indicate connection problems.

Maurice, I don't think I have a connection problem, I think mine is speed. Connection is very stable.

jhonr, yes that's an option, but it needs decent and reliable DSL speed.

Waiting list for ports should not impact how stable a cabinet is
