When I was last in the Vodafone Lambton Quay store they had the R212 on display there. Haven't been there for a couple of weeks though - can check it out later.

StarBlazer: I've just got off the phone from VF and after being passed round three people nobody in the customer service or sales teams is aware of any other product than the R206!!

They've basically said if it's not on the website they can't sell it - which if that the case okay - but it limits my options.

@johnr (or any other VF member reading) have the other models been withdrawn for something else, is the R206 really the only version available? (other than the R205 in the VF store on Lambton Quay which is presumably a step backwards).

For everyone else - can you recommend a similar device preferably with HSPA+ (42.2 Mbps) or 4G (thinking future proofing the purchase a little)?

Just been in at lunch time. There is a R212 (Black $199) on display. North side of centre display, closest to the door.

I will call voda on Monday during business hours, invoke the change of mind policy within 7 business days, and see if I can swap the R208 for a R215.

I ordered it online as I'm out of the country. It has been delivered. I'll call on Monday and see if I can drop in to a retail store and swap it once I'm back into the country on Thursday.
