We got Vodafone TV installed on Monday. We went with the Freeview option for now, but I can add on Sky at a later today. Initial thoughts... I thought we were getting an "All new improved" T-box, but it seems to be the same hardware, just with a Vodafone logo on it. Very disappointed to see that you need a second cable modem attached to it - our installer had to squeeze it into the TV cabinet so it's half lying on it's side, and now we have all these extra blinking lights from beneath the TV - very distracting. The onscreen menus are a lot nicer-looking than Sky, but man are they slow. Sometimes, you're not sure if you've pressed the button correctly as there's such a long pause. Also annoying is the on-demand movie service - they cost $7.95 but they aren't on-demand, the movies start at pre-determined times, so you need to find one that fits your time frame. Because of this I haven't tried watching one yet.

I also thought we would be getting a Vodafone - branded wireless router to complement the warp speed connection, but we weren't given one. Our current router only has a 100Mbps WAN port which means we can't use the full 130Mbps speed, so was looking forward to getting a new router. The website clearly states that you get one when signing up to 12 months so I'll need to query this with the helpdesk when I get time.

NonprayingMantis:

but other vodafone people in the thread said that sky receives some channels in HD but does not broadcast them, and these channels would be made in HD for VF customers.

The answer to your question is posted here.

Cheers
