ZollyMonsta: Hi Amanzi

Try deleting then recreating the series links since you have changed the padding.

Cheers.

I tried your suggestion but once again the end of my wife's recording got cut off. I guess that means the box is faulty as per the other suggestion.

What channel was the programme on? Is it happening with other channels/recordings?

This was on TV1 last night. We have some more recordings coming up but we've lost all faith in the box now.

TVNZ runs up to 7 mins late during prime time.

If that's the case, why doesn't MySky suffer the same issues? We had MySky for about 4 years and never had this problem.

ZollyMonsta has put it pretty well.

Even with a 10 minute buffer we've had programs miss half the last sentence of a program. But it doesn't appear to be a Vodafone (previously Telstra Clear) problem. However Vodafone are responsible for us not being able to configure the start and end buffers separately. Sigh.

We usually know how much is missed because often the next recording is on the same channel or its +1 companion so we can catch it there. We don't keep recordings for very long but it would be more annoying if we did.

MySky HD has the same problem. We have both systems in our house with the same end setting with a 5 minute buffer: Vodafone has a 5 minute buffer both ends; MySky HD has 2 minute start and 5 minute end buffer. We get the same problems mainly on TV 1 and TV 2.

The clocks on both systems are within 15 seconds of each other and the displayed programs are running just 1-2 seconds different so that isn't the source of the issue either.

Did you delete your scheduled recordings and set them up again after you changed the buffer?  If not they will use the previous setting.  Unfortunately you can't set the start and end buffers independently so you have to fast forward to be begining of the show.

Also, as detailed in a previous post I use a 10 minute buffer and this seems to cope with TV1 etc constantly being late.  I don't know why you didn't have an issue with my-sky, maybe 10 minutes is the end program buffer default on that.
