Same thing just happened down the end of my street. Power company came in and moved/replaced a pole. The TCL cables now dangle by a rope from the pole. Remarkably, there's been no service disruption.

So, three months later later finally we are no longer relying on rope to provide us with cable internet :D

Don't care if it's rope, string or cellotape. I am just happy to be able to get TCL cable rather than have to put up with the various levels of DSL around the place. In my area, the feeder cable from the pole across the street to mine, is rather loose and swings a bit in the wind. I hope it's anchored appropriately!
