As long as the knox flag hasn't been tripped, the flash counter is at zero and the phone has the same product code as when it was first bought (ie Vodafone NZ firmware if it was bought from Vodafone) then your warranty will still be intact.

FYI

Please note that Samsung Korea pushes out the update not Vodafone New Zealand, Once approved it can take a number of weeks before you will see the update on the handset

Downloaded and updated.

Almost thought I had bricked my device. After it updated it rebooted and displayed messages about updating apps and contacts database. After this it presented my lock screen. A few seconds later device went dark and did nothing. Waited about 1 minute and still nothing. Pressed home key, thinking it may have gone to sleep, again no response. Pressed power button, again no response.

Ended up removing and reinserting battery. Pressed power button again and device came back to life.

All good now.
