I'm still using Google's DNS servers at home, waiting for an announcement that this problem is fixed before I switch back to getting the DNS servers automatically. Vodafone seem to have gone quite on this problem.

As above. It seems problems have been solved. Are you using the correct DNS or Google DNs/OpenDNS?

I've just switched back to getting the DNS servers automatically from the ISP, and flushed the DNS cache on all computers, and it seems to be working ok now. Bit strange that Vodafone didn't advise us that the problem was fixed...

Mine was working fine then stopped this afternoon. Weird. Using standard DNS as per old Telstra ones

Problem was our firewall again. Isolation tests revealed speed is being throttled by our Mako Firewall. We had this issue a few months back and solution was to change ethernet port to full duplex. An update may have wiped that change out so onto support.

Out of interest, what firewalls can you guys recommend?

I had those DNS issues around the same time as you guys.
I used the google DNS for awhile but recently after changing back, I've noticed the DNS issues slowly returning.
Noticeably on my xbox one, it can barely connect to microsoft unless I change the DNS to google again.
A network diagnostic on the xbox even says it's a DNS issue.

Not sure what's happening at telstraclear but it might be a good way out of the contract since they cant offer a consistent service?
