r2b2:Yeah - once it started making that noise it suddenly explained why the disk check on boot-up was taking about 6-8 hours and then locking up the box (i.e. I could never let it finish the disk check or I'd have to reboot)

On that note, the disk check on startup seems to have disappeared?  Was there a software update recently?  If so, what else changed?

Interesting - I must admit I haven't watched the new TBox start up. Perhaps they've fixed it as I'm sure when it was first put in someone said it was only supposed to run occasionally and not everytime.

This was fixed in software release 2.9.36 which was released on 28th April.

There will be more updates in the upcoming weeks (including more disk space...) :)

Would love it if remote record was one of those updates but I'm guessing I shouldn't get my hopes up :)  More disk space sounds good though.

Nice to hear Grant.  Is there any more details about the release you can share.  i.e. bug fixes, new features?
