Just this weekend I maxed out a torrent DL at 6.5Mbyte/s on VF. I love my VDSL :)

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

Torrents can be weird. You can't judge your ISP based on the performance of a small number of torrents. I had no speed problem with VF cable, I was with them for 5 years. UFB is faster and generally a little better, but not everyone can get it.

I'm on the cable connection (130/10) and the last month have had really bad p2p speeds, but no issues elsewhere. I've tried a lot of healthy files, different ports (all forwarded) but I'm yet to get anywhere near the speeds I used to.

TimA: 6PM and getting healthy torrent speeds.

well, they would be if you were on a 20Mbps ADSL line,  but you have a 45Mbps VDSL line, so that isn't especially healthy.  (not that you can tell all that much from torrents anyway of course, for reasons already mentioned in this thread)

As had been said many times - the throttling has not changed from the 500Gb plan to the unlimited.

Are you sure it's just P2P?  We currently have a slow down issue starting about 8pm through to about 10pm, where our normal 37/10 connection can almost come to a complete standstill at times during this period, can be down to 2/1.  There is an active job to have this raised as a fault and a resolution is pending.  Perhaps something similar on your line?

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I've solved mine by switching clients. It's not the client settings so must be firewall related but damned if I can find it.
The date the torrents slowed was just coincidental. Speeds are pretty good, not as good as TimA but good for the torrents.

Private linux ISO tracker with 0 leechers and 20k seeds might make a difference.
