1resync generally isnt enough to fire off DLM

If you've been mucking a round with your router(s) is it worth asking for DLM to be rest?  I was playing with the HG659, and then a Draytek 2760, and I've settled on an Asus DSL-N66U (which I have to say has one of the slickest consumer equipment UIs I have seen).  But looking at the DSL stats this would seem to be to be a very odd pair of stats.

Line Attenuation Down 2.0 dB Line Attenuation Up 102.3 dB

Attenuation Up 102.3 dB Thats normal. Ignore it.

Router says

Data Rate Down 58716 kbps Data Rate Up 10340 kbps MAX Rate Down 64208 kbps MAX Rate Up 42440 kbps Speedtest.net says Download 7.41Mbps Upload 9.61Mbps.

When the VDSL connection was first live the D/L was around 13Mbps.

If you don't want latency move back to ADSL2+

DLM is there to ensure the best possible connection on VDSL2 - best doesn't always been lowest latency. Interleaving is there for a very specific purpose.

I have never had an ADSL connection, before I was about 60m away with a cable modem which I'd had for years and years.  Unfortunately where I am now there is a slight problem with the cables being on short poles and Vodafone not being able to get them across the road.  Hopefully fibre is not to far off.

HowickDota: Is 36 really that bad?

Not really no, but I play Battlefield 4 on Australian servers, my ping is now 55-60ms, which does put me at a disadvantage. I wonder if NZ will ever get local console servers?

spent a month on DLM-2 after a good 5 months on DLM-1.

it was a slight stretch, as what i was consistently used to was rocked, but you get back used to it eventually..

It just amazes me that my download speed has improved even thou I have gone down a profile. I look forward to DLM 1 again one day!
