Had them come past our way (in AK) a couple months back. Seemed to have no idea of the product he was selling, and was very pushy despite being told very clearly not interested. Given it's been clarified they are not directly employed by VF, what's the correct procedure to report .. negative behaviour.. contact VF, or ?

While they're not directly employeed by VF they are still representing us so if you have any feedback to pass on regarding a particular rep then it is best to speak to us directly.

I think Vodafone should just get rid of their door to door salespersons once and for all.

DarthKermit: On Monday this week my partner had a sales man from Vodafone door knock. (We're already existing VF customers.) She wasn't sure about what he was trying to sell and said he was quite pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Do any of you VF chaps here know what they might be selling? I've seen a number of these guys in and around our street in Palmerston North this week.

I'm in Palmy as well and had someone come to my door tonight. He was selling a pretty good deal to switch to VF UFB on an 80gb plan. We are considering taking it.

Door to door is from a by-gone age, where people sold vacuum cleaners and encyclopedias.  It just screams bad judgement on the part of the marketing department (as in "our monthly sales are 3% less than expected, what shall we try to get our bonus?  Oh right, let's try door to door").

The only door to door sales that I thought was actually worth it, was an author who went door to door selling a novel that they'd actually written.

Companies are now phasing them out, as they know how much people hate them. Genesis energy should be commended for ceasing door to door sales, and they are advertising this. I had a company trying to sell me LEDs the other day. I think these big companies contract out to door knocker companies, who get paid by commission.
