sbiddle:HomePlan connections (where you are connected via Telecom but TCL bill you) are not available anywhere in the Wgtn, Kapiti or Chch regions even if you're in a part of the city that doesn't have TCL's HFC network. They are however available everywhere else in NZ.


No so, actually. Homeplan is available in these Cities where TCL doesn't have Cable. There is just a rule saying customers within 100meters of the Cable cannont get it. Eg : People in Richmond, Christchurch CANNOT get homeplan, they have Cable, people in Papanui, Christchurch CAN get homeplan as they cannot get Cable. I believe anyone who CANNOT get cable does have access to PDQ though. (even if the Phone line stays with Telecom because of the 100m rule).
