Actually Unison funny enough with this service you can be billed for calls that you dont dial an area code. I am in New Plymouth and I can ring a number in Tariki which is just outside our local free calling area without having to put the 06 in front of it as I would normally do and not only does the call go through but it does appear on my VFX account as a toll call still.

Thats good to know, for future reference, however in my case the calls that appeared as Palmerston North, were both Local (Napier/Hastings) numbers.

6650XXXX,AIRNET,1166,NPE
6845XXXX,TELECOM,1190,NPE

The 650 range is a relatively new range, so I wouldn't be surprised if some carriers didn't yet have the correct local calling area assigned to that range. Airnet only just recently became party to the NAD (Number Administration Deed) I believe (well, they only just started assigning numbers recently, as far as I know)
