tonyhughes: Number porting is what virtually the entire country demanded. Now that its here, of course things like this are going to happen. It is totally NOT Vodafones fault. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure of who they are calling.

She should pay her phone bill and learn her lesson.


And of course if you changed your fone from one carrier tyo another and kept the same number you would then contact every one you know and tell them. " My fone nuumbers the same but I have changed to teleco X so it may cost you more to ring me" I don't think many people will do that..

Telecom took the 'word' 027 off their brochures well before April first.  Does Vodafone still say 021 to represent Vodafone customers?  I have a Vodafone prepaid, but I think it was off that month.  (And the next..)  So I don't recall any advice from them re porting.  But I had all the guff from the 'other side' aka work.

Yep on there website they say "Vodafone" customers not 021 anymore for TXT2000, Your Time 200, bestmate etc.
