I just noticed I now get 4G on my old smart1 plan. Is this a positive side effect of the above roll out?

Nope, it's unrelated. The rollout is about getting hardware out there. I think the change to the plan was about simplifying features across plans.

As posted above by Dylan not related but customers on some grandfathered plans are getting 4G access

Vodafone will provide a money-back mobile network guarantee. If any new customer on a monthly plan is not completely happy within the first 30 days, they can cancel their plan and get their money back.

How about customers who have been with Vodafone for years and are not happy? Do they get their money back?

4G is awesomely fast, too bad I'm stuck on a contract for another year which only gives me a tiny amount of data each month.

It's like having a Ferrari with only half a litre of petrol.

As soon as my contract ends I'm going to drop Vodafone and go to 2degrees.
