Slightly different. The Sky dish isn't connected direct to Skys network.. whereas TCL's cable is.
Tuikapo: Here is an Idea - The Analogue output from the STB - take that out - split that signal and send it to your TV's it will already include those free to air chanels as that output also has a passthrough from the analogue aerial input. Obviously it is designed to let you watch ch1 ch2.... and so on. without having to be on AV channels. and this ofcourse would be sourcing from the STB... :D plus you will also be able to watch the Sky chanell you are watching on the STB at the time on the other TV's
BarTender: I did ask Sky to remove the dish from the house I moved into after the sale of the house, they refused, IANAL but to me that is abandonment,
hence I own the dish as it was sold as a chattle!.
tonyhughes: though this would not apply to everything in this world (Pylons on farms etc).
You can't legally sell (or buy) something as a chattel if you do not own it. Just because it is on the property at time of sale, does not transfer legal title to the new owner - as it was not the old owners item to sell.
I get your general point and agree with you though.
IANALE (I am not a Lawyer either)
