Behodar: The details are here. It's not cheap!

Thanks for that. Ouch, it is expensive and I think Vodafone's over-internet option makes more sense.

johnr: I find it Ironic you complain about Vodafone coverage in a certain location when you are not a Vodafone customer

I don't see any "complaint" per se, just an observation that coverage is poor (presumably with all providers) - if anything it's an admission that Vodafone has a better service thanks to Sure Signal's existence.

My cellphone roams onto the Vodafone network here. The topic of this thread is asking questions about Vodafone.

I will call Vodafone and have a discussion about matters raised by this thread I think.

I am not sure roaming devices can connect to the Sure Signal.

Front line staff can't go into more detail than what is on the VodafoneNZ site about Sure Signal they don't know the finer details of it like I do

Correct they can't but I think @MichaelNZ is aware of that

This is not about 2degrees. This is about Vodafone.

Ideally I'd like to get an answer without being put through the wringer for asking.

My point is that you're a 2degrees customer and roaming on Vodafone at your location. Therefore in your current situation your mobile won't connect to the Sure Signal while roaming - you'd have to port your number to Vodafone.

To use Sure signal you have to be on Vodafone, WxC or TelstraClear networks.

Also, for distance, it's only a few hundred metres. Mostly covers around a house really.

This is what I was intending to do if the device works.

Please lock this thread. Thanks.
