Hi Ray,
We have been trying to find an affordable solution for our location for years. I thought we finally had one when RBI arrived here. As I have repeatedly pointed out, we enjoyed good, solid Internet performance for nearly a year, especially after 4G became available. Then for some reason that no-one can seem to explain to me, it all went to custard at the beginning of January.
I certainly wouldn't mind having an alternative to Vodafone. I don't understand why this country has such a love of monopoly providers. Even if our RBI was working properly, it wouldn't hurt to have a little competition just on principle.
I don't know what our neighbours think about this. I only have contact with one of them and I do know he has similar frustrations with the current service. I suppose we could contact them or organise a mail drop to see if there is any interest. For my own part, I have already invested a fair bit of cash and effort in the RBI connection and I would prefer to just get that working correctly again, but I am certainly willing to consider other possibilities. This is starting to feel like it did when we were stuck on dial-up.
